  • Sponsorship for TNPSC Coaching Session ​

    100+ tribal youth were given free coaching to appear for the TNPSC Group 4 exams, focusing on jobs in the Forest Department. The coaching was provided by the forest department staff currently stationed in Jawadhu Hills and some external faculty with expertise in the TNPSC exams. 41 of the 100+ coached have been selected​

    Master Vishnu Priyan, a 12th standard student from Olcott School, was recognized by the Rotary Club of Chennai Mitra for his exceptional talent and achievements in Mallakhamb. The club honored him with an award during their last Charter Night . ​
    He has been actively sponsoring his participation in various Mallakhamb events, encouraging his continued excellence in the sport. ​
    Representing Tamil Nadu, Vishnu Priyan secured a medal in the Mallakhamb event at the prestigious Khelo India Games, earning a cash award of ₹75,000 from the Tamil Nadu Sports Minister​

    Muthal Thalaimurai Trust (MTT), under Dr. Irai Anbu’s (Former Chief Secretary, Tamil Nadu) guidance, offers free traditional arts courses in Kannagi Nagar to inspire children from disadvantaged backgrounds. District Special Initiatives and RC Chennai Mitra sponsored Musical instrument kits and props build learning, cultural preservation, and community growth leveraging the power of Cultural Education ​

Annual Picnic
  • Mentally Challenged Children​

    Rotary Club of Chennai Mitra supported the Rotary Club of Kumbakonam and Kumbakonam Central for a project benefiting 60 underprivileged special children from ISHWAR Special School. As part of their annual picnic for disabled and mentally challenged children, a trip to Chennai, including visits to Muttukadu Beach and boating, was planned for February 27th and 28th. Accommodation was provided by Paradise Home ​
